PRIMARY/SPECIAL ELECTION

MAY 7, 2013

Polls are open from:

6:30 AM-7:30 PM

 

CANDIDATES:  Click on Candidate Filings – one contested race – Bellefontaine City 2nd Ward council

ABSENTEE BALLOT APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE AUTOMATICALLY MAILED TO VOTERS FOR THIS ELECTION.

To receive an Absentee Ballot Application, either:

1)  Click on the tab Absentee form, complete the fillable Application Request form, mail said form to the Board of Elections at 225 S. Main Street, Bellefontaine,  OH 43311;

2) Call the Board of Elections office at 599-7255 and request an Absentee Ballot Application; or

3) Visit the Board of Elections office Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM and vote in person.

 

BELLEFONTAINE’S 2ND WARD IS THE ONLY PRECINCT WITH A CONTESTED CANDIDATE RACE WHERE VOTERS MAY REQUEST A REPUBLICAN BALLOT.  ALL OTHER VOTERS WILL BE VOTING ON ISSUES ONLY AND SHOULD REQUEST AN ISSUES ONLY BALLOT.

                                                                                                                                                         

Absentee voting:

·    Military - March 23, 2013 through May 3rd at 6:00 PM

·    Non-military - April 2, 2013 through May 3rd at 6:00 PM

 

Registration Deadline April 8, 2013.

 *A VOTER MAY USE THE FEDERAL WRITE-IN ABSENTEE BALLOT ONLY AFTER SAID VOTER HAS APPLIED FOR AN ABSENTEE BALLOT AND HAS NOT RECEIVED THE SAME.

ELECTION VOTING EQUIPMENT REPORT

VOTER IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  Every voter will be required to provide proof of identity before voting.  The form of identification you may use includes:

*  Your current and valid photo identification card;

*  Military identification;

*  A copy of a utility bill;

*  A bank statement

*  A paycheck;

*  A government check; or

*  A government document showing your name and current address.

(Note:  you cannot use as proof of identification a notice that the board of election mailed to you.)
